All lamp kits come as a complete set including 2 lights, wire harness, relay, fuse and switch. Pricing for kits and individual parts is located on each items link.
The switch, which is included in the kit, can be located anywhere on the vehicle, typically attached to the handlebars for easy access.
The switch is not waterproof. This can be inexpensively converted to a weather proof switch available at a good marine parts store or electrical parts store if needed.
All connectors are made to simply plug in so there is no confusion or difficulty during installation.
At a minimum there is some disassembly of your bike required to route the wire harness correctly. If you feel weak in your mechanical abilities, please have a trained mechanic do the installation for you.
PIAA uses a 3 wire connection process: A postive lead, negative ground lead and a switched-on power lead. The switched power lead is connected to something on the vehicle that gets powered on when the key is turned on. This way you can't accidentally leave the lights on and drain your battery. This switched power lead can be connected to numerous items such as the high beam power lead so the lights come on when you turn your high beams on and go off when you go back to low beam (this being the most common). They can also be hooked up to a "keyed-on" continous power lead so that the lights are always on when the key is turned on and the PIAA switch is turned on. In some states however this is illegal. Please check with state regulations before connecting in this manner.
