STAINTUNE Exhaust for Rocket III

So what did we do?
What an awesome piece of motorcycle, presently we have 2 options, firstly is a set of replacement mufflers like those in the picture 3 into 3 but the Staintune's are parallel with the bike which has a much tidier look than standard. With the 3 into 2 system the left muffler is simply taken off and a capping piece placed at the collector.

We did opt to remove the collector as this only served to give the bike surging problems and poor throttle response and some severe backfiring. We are working on a 3 into 1 through the development of our own high flow collector and muffler spec, but the system currently offered really adds to the bike’s value, appearance, performance and sound.

Performance:
On the Dyno the 3 into 2 produced a gain of 8 Horsepower and as our test riders arms grew by 3 inches on the test ride, it has a much sharper throttle!! It has changed the characteristics of the bike and made it even more thrilling to ride. The use of 3 mufflers actually produced a larger horsepower gain.

I want to know about the sound:
As we say down under it’s AWESOME Mate!!

No Restrictors: 93 dba @ 3000 rpm with 2 Staintune mufflers so its ADR compliant.
No Restrictors: 91 dba @ 3000 rpm with 3 Staintune mufflers a little quieter

It sounds magnificent under acceleration, it now sounds like a big fat bike and it’s not offensive.

Finish:
Have a look for yourself; they look magnificent on this style of big bike. The Slash Cut style mufflers really suit the Rocket III and will last for the life of this awesome bike. They come in a mirror finish that you can see yourself in and with a little “Staintune Liquid Mirror Polish” they will stay that way.
